About the project
The Blackstone storage development is one of Queensland’s biggest battery storage projects. The one gigawatt-hour project is located 30km from Brisbane and can power around 70,000 homes during operation.

Within the Swanbank industrial area – Approximately 30km South-West from Brisbane, Queensland (QLD), Australia.
Approval process
The Blackstone BESS has obtained Development Approval in 2024 and is finalising secondary consents and management plans with SARA and Ipswich Council ahead of starting construction
